January 2010 Meeting : Git / GNOME Shell Presentations

UPDATE: Clint is not going to be available to present so the topic will just be on GNOME Shell.

Pending any violent feedback from the rest of the team, it has been proposed that we have two presenters this month.

The first will be by Clint Savage (herlo) on the topic of the SCM tool, Git. If you haven't used Git yet, you should check out this presentation and get with the program!

June 13 Meeting

So, unless I missed it, I didn't see much in the way of replies on what we wanted to have for our meeting topic. As such, I figure rather than rush to find someone to present and find a topic, well just have a modest Q&A session. If you have questions about getting something installed, getting something working, configuring a piece of software, or what have you, bring it to the meeting, and we'll try to answer it.

Same bat time, same bat channel.

Presenter: None

This Saturday is our meeting. I'm presenting on partitions, filesystems, LVM and RAID. I have a lot of content prepared, and expect the meeting to last about 2 hours. So, I'm starting right at 6pm, so I can finish by 8. The focus of my topic will by system administration, rather than for new beginners to the distribution, but it will be benificial for them as well learn how to properly work with their filesystems.
